Snow, snow, snow. Sneeuw, sneeuw, sneeuw.

Oh my goodness, I feel like living in Michigan again. Well, not really, but it has been snowing here all day. Luckily just small flakes, but still. It's already getting to three inches, that's unusual for these parts. I shoveled snow at my own place and while I was at it, at my parents place, their neighbours and an elderly couple in my neighbourhood. Quiltwise, I'm working on the next mystery, Sweet hearts, part three. I still haven't finished part two, but my machine is still not working properly. Just a few more weeks of patience, than my husband will either have solved the problem, or recognized that he can't solve it and handed over the machine to some company in Amsterdam, that is said to be specialized in solving these problems. I can't wait. On part three, I traced 64 leaves on pink, and 64 leaves on blue fabric. Now I have to trace 148 background parts, make 16 centers and then I can start cutting and pinning. Since I also have to attend first aid class tonight, I'm not sure I will reach that goal today. Oh well, we'll see.

Pufpuf, het voelt alsof ik nog in Michigan woon. Niet echt, maar het sneeuwt hier al de hele dag. Gelukkig slechts kleine vlokjes, maar toch. 7 centimeter ligt er toch al wel. Ik heb sneeuwgeruimd rond mijn eigen tuin, bij mijn ouders, hun buren en bij een ouder echtpaar onderweg naar mijn ouders. Qua quiltwerk ben ik vandaag bezig met de nieuwe mysterie, Sweet Hearts, deel drie. Ik heb deel twee eigenlijk nog steeds niet af, maar ja, mijn naaimachine doet het nog steeds niet goed. Nog maar een paar weekjes geduld, dan heeft mijn echtgenoot of het probleem opgelost, of toegegeven dat het hemzelf niet lukt en mijn machine naar een bedrijf in Amsterdam gebracht, dat gespecialiseerd zou zijn in het oplossen van dit soort problemen. Ik ben benieuwd. Wat betreft deel drie, heb ik 64 blaadjes op roze stof en 64 blaadjes op blauwe stof getekend. Nu nog 148 achtergronddeeltjes, 16 centers en dan kan het knippen en spelden beginnen. Aangezien ik vanavond ook nog naar de EHBO moet gaan, weet ik niet of ik dat doel vanavond wel ga halen. Nou ja, we zien wel.
